Project Summary

Saint Kitts and Nevis established the Citizenship By Investment program in 1984, It is  the first country in the world to carry out such a program. The purpose of setting up this plan by the federal government of Saint Kitts and Nevis is to attract high-quality investors to bring large amounts of investment to the country and to develop the country’s economy. These investors will then have the opportunity to apply to become citizens of the country.

The regulations concerning the citizenship by investment program of Saint Kitts and Nevis is based on Article 5 of the Citizenship Act (1984). The government grants citizenship of Saint Kitts and Nevis to foreigners who have made significant economic contributions in accordance with the law. The applicant directly obtains the international and citizenship rights of  Saint Kitts and Nevis after meeting the investment requirements.

Country Summary

The Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis (The Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis), referred to as Saint Kitts and Nevis, is located in the northern part of the Leeward Islands in the East Caribbean Sea. An island country composed of Nevis. Saint Kitts and Nevis covers an area of 267 square kilometers, of which Saint Kitts Island is 174 square kilometers and Nevis Island is 93 square kilometers. The capital Basseterre is located on the larger Saint Kitts Island.

St. Kitts and Nevis became independent in September 1983 and is now a member of the Commonwealth of Nations. It has the reputation of being a back garden in North America. It is also the world’s offshore financial center, a famous international tax haven, and a world-class holiday destination.

Saint Kitts and Nevis has a tropical maritime climate with an average temperature of 26°C. The population is about 52,000, and English is the official language and lingua franca. Saint Kitts and Nevis is a country with an upper middle income per capita, and tourism is the main pillar of the country’s national economy.

Application Requirements

  • The main applicant is 18 years old and can bring children under 18 years old/full-time children 18-30 years old/parents and grandparents over 55 years old;
  • Good health and no criminal record;
  • Meet any of the following investment methods:

A. Real estate investment naturalization method:
Invest not less than US$400,000 in a real estate project approved by the government, which can be sold for 5 years, and the status obtained will not be affected;

Invest at least US$200,000 to obtain joint property rights in real estate projects designated by the government, which can be sold for 5 years, and the acquired status will not be affected;

B. Fund donation naturalization method:

Donate to the Sustainable Growth Fund (SGF): In order to improve the livelihood of St. Kitts, invest in health, education, infrastructure construction, heritage protection, residents’ entrepreneurship, and promote the development of tourism, the St. Kitts Immigration Bureau launched the Sustainable Growth Fund. Effective from April 5, 2018, the donation amount is:
Main applicant: USD 150,000
Main applicant and spouse: USD 175,000
Family of four: US$195,000
Each additional applicant: USD 10,000
Donate to the Sugar Industry Diversification Fund (SIDF): SIDF is a charitable organization established in 2006. Its main purpose is to help the national economy of Saint Kitts and Nevis transform from a single sugar industry to a diversified economy. Projects include rebuilding infrastructure, promoting clean energy development, supporting new businesses and developing housing structures, etc. The donations are:
Main applicant: USD 250,000
Family of four: $300,000
Each additional applicant: USD 25,000

Application Process

House purchase process:

Evaluation before signing;
Sign a contract to buy a house, prepare immigration information and pay the down payment for the real estate and legal fees;
Immigration Bureau reviews documents and conducts background checks;
Receive the approval in principle and pay the final payment for the property and the application fee;
Obtain a citizenship certificate and passport.

Donation process:

Evaluation before signing;
Sign a contract, prepare immigration information and pay background investigation fees and attorney fees;
Immigration Bureau reviews documents and conducts background checks;
Received approval in principle, donations;
Obtain a citizenship certificate and passport.
