PEQ
The PEQ (Programme de l’expérience québécoise) is an accelerated program for selecting skilled workers. PEQ allows individuals to obtain a CSQ (Certificat de sélection) du Québec, then a permanent residence. This program is intended for Québec graduates and temporary foreign workers who hold a skilled job and who meet certain conditions, such as advanced intermediate knowledge of spoken French. The PEQ does not involve a selection grid and does not take into account the spouse’s or de facto spouse’s characteristics。 There are TWO SUBCLASSES:
- Québec Graduates-PEQ
- Temporary foreign worker-PEQ
Application Requirements
1. Quebec Graduates-PEQ
- Obtained an admissible Québec diploma;
- Currently have a full-time job in Québec at Skill Level 0, A, B or C of the National Occupational Classification (the job must be related to your professional training diploma);
- Have at least 12 or 18 months’ work experience, depending on the diploma you obtained, at Skill Level 0, A, B or C of the National Occupational Classification (the job must be related to your professional training diploma);
- Demonstrate knowledge of spoken French (oral comprehension and oral production) at a skill level equal to or higher than 7.
2. Temporary Foreign Worker- PEQ
- Currently hold job at level 0, A or B under the National Occupational Classification (NOC);
- Held this job for at least 24 months during the last 36 months;
- Demonstrate knowledge of spoken French (oral comprehension and oral production) at a skill level equal to or higher than 7.
